It is with a heavy heart that we inform our custom

It is with a heavy heart that we inform our customers and community that we lost our long-time vendor Helen Tilley Martin of Pleasant Grove Pottery suddenly on May 4th.

Helen had been vending at Lawrence Farmers Market since at least the 1990s. Her pottery had her signature wheat stalks embedded in most of her pieces. She made a wide variety of mugs, bowls, plates, and other custom pottery like berry bowls, mug toppers, vases, etc.

Please raise a mug of tea or coffee this weekend or pack your vase with flowers in memory of Helen.

She was so excited to start vending at market this weekend and her presence will be greatly missed.

Join us this Saturday at market and leave a message or sign your name on the memorial poster set up in her stall space (located in the northeast corner of the East Lot).

Services for Helen Onis Tilley Martin will be on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 10:30AM at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.

We are needing some help this weekend to run our Kid Activity Booth at the farmers market! We will soon be launching our United Way Volunteer Portal - but until then, please reach out to Emily@lawrencefarmersmarket.org or fill out the Google Form to learn more and help teach our community's kiddos about seasonal foods!

Keep an eye out for all of our volunteer opportunities as we begin to launch them and see ways you can give back and help increase access of local foods to everyone.

Thanks to all who braved the weather for our market!! We are open Rain or Shine!

Everyone got to see some beautiful flowers, see the first of the summer produce items and we introduced our new program for our SNAP customers, Double Up Protein Bucks! Which was a huge success!

All of the food you see at our market is grown or produced within 50 miles of Lawrence. Some of the seasonal produce you can find this weekend: bok choy, arugula, spinach, turnips, radishes, asparagus, salad greens, head lettuce, green onions, and fresh herbs! Plus all of the usual amazing things our vendors bring us each and every day.
